We would like to share an important update regarding the future of the Yale View and Yale Smart Living Alarm ecosystems, including compatible products, accessories and mobile apps.

If you currently use Yale View or Yale Smart Living Alarm products, no immediate action is required. Your products will continue to function as normal and remain supported according to the timeline outlined below. This page explains what is changing, key support dates, products affected and upgrade options available through the Yale Home ecosystem.

What’s changing?

As our smart home portfolio continues to evolve, we have taken the decision not to introduce any new products for the Yale View app after 31 December 2026 and after 31 December 2027 for the Yale Alarm app.

Existing products will continue to be supported in line with the timeline below.

Some Yale View and Yale Smart Living Alarm products may remain available through Yale webshops and retail partners while stocks last. We also intend to continue supplying key accessories and replacement items for the foreseeable future, subject to availability.

We remain committed to supporting existing customers throughout this transition and will continue to provide updates as appropriate.

Why is Yale discontinuing Yale View and Yale Smart Living Alarm apps?
Yale continuously evaluates its product portfolio to ensure we offer the best technology, security and user experience. We are focusing on investment on newer platforms such as Yale Home.
How do I check which alarm / camera system I have?
You can check on the product label on your device.
Can I still use my existng products?
Yes. Your products will continue to function and be supported until 31st of December 2030 for Yale View and 31st of December 2031 for Yale Smart Living Alarm app.
Will my devices stop working on 31st December 2026 for Yale View and 31st December 2027 for Yale Smart Living Alarm App?
No. These dates mark the End of Sale for the respective ecosystems and do not mean that your devices, apps, or services will stop working.
31 December 2026 is the End of Sale date for the Yale View ecosystem.
31 December 2027 is the End of Sale date for the Yale Smart Living Alarm ecosystem.

Support will continue beyond these dates in line with the timelines communicated, including security updates, software patches, bug fixes, and technical support during the mainstream support period. Your devices and apps will continue to operate after the End of Sale date.
How long will support continue?
Mainstream support, including software updates, bug fixes, maintenance releases and technical support, will continue until 31 December 2028 for the Yale View app and 31 December 2029 for the Yale Smart Living Alarm app.
Security updates will continue until 31 December 2030 for the Yale View app and 31 December 2031 for the Yale Smart Living Alarm app.
What happens after 31 December 2030 (Yale View) and 31 December 3031 (Yale Smart Living Alarm App)?
Support for the respective ecosystems and associated applications will end.
The Yale View app will be discontinued after 31 December 2030.
The Yale Smart Living Alarm app will be discontinued after 31 December 2031.

After these dates, Yale will no longer provide security updates, bug fixes, maintenance releases, or technical support for the apps or associated ecosystems. Devices may continue to function, but Yale cannot guarantee ongoing performance, compatibility, or security.
Will I receive software updates?
Yes. Security updates and maintenance updates will continue according to the published roadmap until support ends.
Do I need to do anything to keep my devices working following this service update?
No, there is no action needed from your side, your current devices will continue to work as it always has.
Will my home be left unsecure?
No, your home will not be left unsecure following this service update. Your current devices will continue to work; there are no changes to functionality.
Will I be able to buy additional accessories or replace my current accessories?
After 31st December 2026 for Yale View and 31st December 2027 for Yale Smart Living Alarm app, these will be subject to availability; There may still be stock within certain retailers after this point, but it is not guaranteed.
Will Yale offer upgrade incentives?
Yale will provide promotional offers to encourage upgrade to Yale Home. Stay tuned!
What should I do if I want to expand my current systrem?
We recommend considering Yale Home products for future purchase, as Yale View and Yale Smart Living Alarm app products will no longer be developed or expanded.
Does this affect my warranty?
No. Your warranty will continue to be honoured in accordance with Yale’s standard warranty terms and local requirements.
